Brompton Wellington Square AAA CLO ETF is an actively managed fixed income fund structured as an exchange-traded fund under the management of Brompton Funds Limited, with Wellington Square Advisors Inc. serving as sub-advisor. Its mandate is to provide high monthly income together with capital preservation, by investing in collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), with a strong emphasis on credit quality.
The fund's portfolio is composed primarily of AAA-rated CLO bonds. It will generally range in credit quality from AAA down to BBB, and at least 75 percent of its assets are required to be invested in AAA-rated CLOs. From time to time up to 10 percent of the portfolio may be tactically allocated to CLOs rated below BBB. All ratings are assessed at the time of investment. The CLO securities used are senior-secured corporate-loan backed tranches.
The fund invests in CLO bonds denominated in U.S. dollars and is domiciled in Ontario, Canada, operating under a trust structure. As an ETF, it is subject to the laws of the Province of Ontario, and is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
