The Brompton Wellington Square Investment Grade CLO ETF is an actively managed fixed income fund that seeks to deliver high monthly income combined with capital preservation. The fund invests primarily in investment-grade collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), defined as CLO tranches rated BBB- or higher (or an equivalent rating by a designated rating organization). At least 75% of its portfolio must be invested in such investment-grade CLOs; it may also allocate up to 25% to lower-rated CLO tranches (BB+ to B-), but no more than 5% may be below BB- at the time of investment.
The asset class is CLO bonds - securitized pools of senior secured corporate loans - predominantly U.S. CLOs, under a credit quality mandate focused on investment-grade ratings. The fund's strategy emphasizes yield through exposure to floating-rate income inherent in CLOs, while maintaining credit risk controls via rating thresholds.
The provider is Brompton Funds Limited, with Wellington Square Advisors Inc. serving as sub-advisor. The structure is that of an exchange-traded fund (ETF) domiciled in Canada, trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The fund was launched in October 2025.
