FIRST TRUST ALPHADEX U.S. HEALTH CARE SECTOR INDEX ETF (CAD, FHH.F) FHH.F.CA

The First Trust AlphaDEX U.S. Health Care Sector Index ETF seeks to replicate, net of expenses, the performance of the StrataQuant Health Care Index. Its strategy is to hold the constituent securities of that index (or securities that closely replicate them) in the same proportions as in the index.

The StrataQuant Health Care Index applies the AlphaDEX methodology to the Russell 1000 Index universe. It first applies liquidity and share-class filters, then ranks eligible Russell 1000 stocks on both growth and value factors. Each stock is classified as growth, value, or a combination, and its "selection score" is derived from whichever of those rankings (growth or value) is more favorable. The index includes only those stocks within the health care sector.

This is an equity sector fund focused on U.S. health care, targeting large-and-mid-cap U.S. companies within that sector. It is an index-tracking ETF using a rules-based, enhanced (multi-factor) index rather than a pure market-cap weighted benchmark.

The ETF is issued by First Trust (via FT Portfolios Canada Co.) and constructed as a sector equity ETF. Its regulatory structure is that of an exchange-traded fund. It does not indicate active management; instead it follows the AlphaDEX/StrataQuant index methodology.
