The Pacer S&P MidCap 400 Quality FCF Aristocrats ETF is a US-registered, index-tracking exchange-traded fund whose objective is to replicate the total return performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P MidCap 400 Quality FCF Aristocrats Index.
The Index targets mid-capitalization US equities drawn from the S&P MidCap 400 universe. It screens for companies with positive free cash flow for at least seven consecutive years, then ranks those companies based on two quality metrics: a five-year average free cash flow margin and a five-year average free cash flow return on invested capital. The top 80 companies meeting these criteria are selected. Weighting is float-adjusted market cap multiplied by the quality score, subject to caps on individual stock weight (5%) and sector weight (40%), and it is rebalanced semi-annually.
The fund falls in the US equity asset class, specifically mid-cap equities with a focus on free cash flow quality. It is part of Pacer ETFs' Cash Cows ("Quality FCF Aristocrats") series. It is a physically replicated, passively managed ETF registered under US regulations. The investment adviser is Pacer Advisors, Inc., which also distributes shares via a related entity. Under normal circumstances the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in securities that are components of its target index.
