Mackenzie Cyclical Tilt ETF is an index-tracking fund designed to provide exposure to U.S. equities whose performance is more sensitive to the business cycle. It seeks long-term capital growth by investing primarily in large- and mid-capitalization equity securities from sectors classified as cyclical under the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS), including Information Technology; Financials; Consumer Discretionary; Industrials; Communication Services; Energy; and Materials.
The fund's benchmark is the MSCI USA IMI Select Cyclical Sectors Index, which measures the returns of large, mid, and small-cap U.S. stocks in cyclical sectors, with sector weights matched to those in the broader MSCI USA IMI Index. Securities not belonging to those sectors are excluded, and the weight of non-represented sectors is redistributed proportionally among included sectors.
The fund is structured as an ETF offered by Mackenzie Investments and falls under the U.S. equity asset class. It is a traditional index ETF rather than an actively managed strategy. Replication appears to be physical, holding equity securities in line with the index.
