RBC Target 2031 U.S. Corporate Bond ETF is a target‐maturity, investment‐grade corporate bond ETF with a fixed termination date of approximately September 30, 2031. It seeks to provide income over its lifetime by investing primarily in U.S. and foreign corporations' fixed-income securities issued in the U.S. market, all of which mature in the calendar year 2031. The fund selects securities based on factors such as credit quality, yield to maturity, issue size, liquidity, and relative price to par.
The asset class is U.S. corporate bonds with investment-grade ratings. There is no tracking of a third-party index; the fund is actively managed within its mandate to hold bonds maturing in 2031 and to terminate on or about its termination date.
The provider of the ETF is RBC Global Asset Management Inc. The fund is structured as an open-ended mutual fund trust under Canadian regulatory framework. It is one of several in RBC's "Target Maturity Corporate Bond ETFs" suite.
