The First Eagle US Equity ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund whose investment objective is to seek long-term growth of capital by investing primarily in the equity securities of U.S. issuers. It is not an index-tracking fund. Its investment approach is value-oriented, bottom-up and fundamental, with stock selection driven by identifying companies trading at a discount to what First Eagle considers "intrinsic value." Key considerations include strong balance sheets, sustainable earnings power, high quality management, and a margin of safety in purchase price.
Under normal market conditions the fund allocates at least 80 percent of its net assets to domestic U.S. equities, though it may also hold securities of non-U.S. issuers, including U.S.-listed depositary receipts. It invests across all market-capitalization ranges (large, mid, small) without regard to market-cap bias. It is non-diversified, implying more concentrated holdings.
The fund is managed by First Eagle Investment Management, LLC (with Exchange Traded Concepts, LLC as sub-advisor), and is structured as an ETF within the First Eagle ETF Trust, which is organized under Delaware law and registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940. Portfolio management is handled by the First Eagle Global Value team.
