Vanguard ESG Global Corporate Bond UCITS ETF is a passively managed fixed income fund that seeks to replicate the performance of the Bloomberg MSCI Global Corporate Float-Adjusted Liquid Bond Screened Index.
The index is derived from the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Float-Adjusted Corporate Index and includes investment-grade, fixed-rate corporate bonds from both developed and emerging market issuers. It applies environmental, social and governance (controversy-related) screens via Bloomberg MSCI (the index provider, independent of the fund manager) to exclude issuers involved in specific activities (such as adult entertainment, alcohol, gambling, tobacco, weapons, nuclear power, and fossil fuels above certain thresholds) or whose products or conduct present potentially detrimental impacts.
To track its benchmark, the fund acquires physical securities and uses a representative sampling strategy so that the portfolio aligns with key index characteristics while striving to be efficient. It operates across multiple currencies, investing in fixed-rate corporate bonds only, and promotes certain environmental and social characteristics by excluding selected fixed income securities in line with the index's ESG screening methodology.
The issuer is Vanguard Funds plc, domiciled in Ireland, operating under a UCITS regulatory framework. It is managed by Vanguard Asset Management, Ltd., Europe Bond Index Team.
This share class is accumulating: income is reinvested, and no cash dividends are paid.
