The iShares MSCI World Communication Services Sector Advanced UCITS ETF is an equity ETF that seeks to deliver a total return (capital growth plus income) tracking the MSCI World Communication Services Advanced Select 20 35 Capped Index.
Its investment focus is on companies in the Communication Services sector (telecommunication services and media & entertainment) in developed markets globally. The "Advanced Select 20 35 Capped" index is ESG-screened: companies breaching certain thresholds for weapons, tobacco, coal, oil sands, or violating the UN Global Compact are excluded; it also targets lower carbon intensity and higher ESG score while being capped to limit concentration risk.
The ETF is physically replicated, meaning it invests directly in securities rather than using synthetic derivatives, and it is a UCITS-compliant fund domiciled in Ireland, managed by iShares V plc (a subsidiary of BlackRock), under their passive strategy umbrella.
